All These Ganks

(For lack of a better title)

How you do it: Alright so a nice 5 man team right. Then add a jungler. Then add a good roamer (a stealth or high mobility champ). Then get at least 3 teleports. Ghosts. Some decent crowd control. Now gank. Again. And again. And again.

Why it works: Well having a jungler works, and having a roamer works, so why not both? Teleport is a useful skill all the way through late game, same with ghost. And all those ganks should keep people suppressed, underfarmed, and get your team kills at the same time. This even works extremely well late game, because flash pushes top lane when they’re scattered bot and mid will get you towers easily as well as help you get to team fights extremely quickly.

Tested Effectiveness: 5/5. Valid strategy.

Rapid Capture Team-Dominion

How you do it: Get a five man team, all excessively mobile. Hopefully include Rammus, Zilean, Poppy, Riven, etc. Get five speed boots, stack Phantom Dancers, get Priscilla’s Blessing. Charge those points.

Why it works: You can effectively be everywhere at all times. Every time they leave a point open for more than a few seconds, you take it. Every time they try to attack, you get there and stop them. You are ubiquitous. You cannot be stopped.

Tested Effectiveness: 5/5. This is one of the best strategies on Dominion, other than just being good.

I will be putting Dominion metas up once I’ve played enough games to actually know some of them.

I’m assuming it will take me at least 30+ games and I’ve only played about 10 right now.

Also, Dominion metas will be specified as such.

Bravery.

You knew this was coming.

How you do it: Game starts, instalock random. Build all three stacks items (Leviathan, Occult, Mejais) and top it off with a Trinity Force and a Tiamat. Get whatever boots you want.

Why it works: It works, sometimes, when the enemy team is lacking teamwork and you all stay together to feed off eachothers assists. If you manage to always fight as a team or gank as a large group, you have a possibility of getting high stacks. IF, and I stress, IF you manage to get high stacks on at least three of your champs, you win. The problem is, you don’t have any items to help get you the stacks.

Tested effectiveness: 2/5. Guys, this was created to troll. Don’t take it seriously.

Metagolem

How you do it: Get five champions that can be built tanky dps with fairly high effectiveness, bring flash, and build: Merc Treads, Frozen Mallet, Trinity Force, Wriggles, Warmogs, and Atmas.

Why it works: Apparently tanky dps seems to be the most overpowered way to play in League right now, so five of them seems to work fairly well. You never die and you’ll still deal ridiculous amounts of damage. A few champions that work really well for this: Xin Zhao, Poppy, Olaf, Blitzcrank, etc.

Tested effectiveness: 5/5. You would expect the enemy team to just build armor and roll over you, but unfortunately for them, you still deal ridiculous damage and you still never die. If absolutely necessary, bring one ap assassin to finish the team.

Roaming Team

How to do it: Have your entire team move as one and charge across the map, ganking and pushing as you go.

Why it works: This method gives you extreme early game strength as well as push and gank power. It does tend to fall flat late game because you are underfarmed, but if you occasionally leave a champion or two behind to farm for a bit, that can be fixed. Takes a little luck and unpreparedness from the enemy team in order for this style to be completely effective.

Tested Effectiveness: 2.5/5. It can work, but when it does it’s rarely exceptional and it often doesn’t work at all. I have seen a few really well played roaming teams before however.

Triple mid

How to do it: Get three people in mid, put heavy pressure and allow for side lane pushes when attacked.

Why it works: It works because you will be able to put heavy pressure without fear of being ganked by enough to kill you unless all five of them come mid, in which case you can fall back and side lanes can push with ease. Exceptionally good at pushing, not as good at getting kills or farming. This can either work really well or fall flat and fail you.

Tested Effectiveness: 3.5/5. It can work, but only if you know what you’re doing and the enemy doesn’t know how to counter you.

Double Jungle

How you do it: Have two champions jungle together on the same path, helping each other farm and gank efficiently.

Why it works: While it does leave all three lanes solo, it’s not a problem because you will be ganking much more often and effectively than a single jungle. My personal suggestion for double jungle beginners is to use Alistar and Nunu, a deadly combination that will be almost impossible to escape when you gank, not to mention extremely good at jungling. You should have completed your jungle path before the third wave of minions enters lanes, and can gank while waiting for jungle to respawn. Double jungle is also an extremely effective counter jungle, because you can steal enemy buffs with ease as well as take on any jungler you encounter.

Tested effectiveness: 5/5. Used Alistar/Nunu combination, ganked often, scores were 2/1/5 for Nunu, 4/2/3 for Alistar by 10 minutes.

Double Mid

How you do it: Have two players mid. It’s fairly simple.

Why it works: Like with a jungler, two mid allows for a solo top, which will increase their level, while at the same time denying their mid experience and farm. You might say, “Wouldn’t you be losing the experience and farm a normal solo mid gets?” Well yes, but that experience is moved to top. You might say “What’s the difference between their mid and your top, wont your top be getting denied too?” Well not as likely, because your top will be a champion that can 1v2, such as Mordekaiser, where their mid will not as likely be a champ made for surviving a 1v2 laning phase. You can even have a jungler, so you get two solo lanes on the sides, but only do that if you’re experienced with the double mid strategy.

Tested effectiveness: 5/5. Used Singed/Kayle combination in mid, won the game 20 to 5.
